Windows 8 recovery from boot menu or OS Windows 7 Windows XP
Windows 8 recovery helps when PC doesn't boot or works very slowly or has other problems, ex. a sound, internet.
For Windows 8 recovery we should try any keys - Reset, Refresh or Restore. For using Reset or Refresh keys you must have a recovery partition how to check or Windows 8 install disc or Windows 8 recovery disc. When you haven't any of them, then try the Restore key or the first way (very careful).
Choose one of the list:
- No Disc and PC isn't booting - how to recovery Windows 8 - a very careful way begin
- No Disc and PC isn't booting - load PC in safe modе - begin
- The Disc or partition is on and PC is booting - Windows 8 recovery using Refresh or Reset
- No Disc and PC is booting - System Restore - begin
- No Disc and PC is booting - how to recovery Windows 8.1 to Windows 8 - Reset

- PC doesn't work - Ask a question
- How to create the Windows 8 recovery disc
I want to introduce three recovery ways - Refresh, Reset, Restore - using recovery media or without one.
1. Loading Windows 8 in safe mode
When PC isn't booting, then loading Windows 8 in Safe Mode, otherwise when PC is booting, then just reading the guide of recovery - begin.
For loading Windows 8 in safe mode try to press both keys Shift+F8 or F8 just after pressing the power button. Load the computer in safe mode:
- way. For computers (2013 and older). Choose Safe Mode and press Enter. In the opened window click an icon of Administrator, input a password. Windows 8 is running in safe mode.
- way. For new computers (2013 and newer) you'll see a new recovery menu - click See advanced repair options - Troubleshoot - Advanced options - Startup Settings - Restart. PC is restarting. You'll see Startup Settings menu, press F4. Windows 8 is running in safe mode.
If PC doesn't booting anyway, then you should press the button of popup menu just after pressing a power button during starting of PC. The name of button of popup menu depends of PC model. (for ex. Esc for Asus, F12 for Acer). When you see the list of booting modes, then select the record like boot from CD/DVD, press Enter and just F8. PC must show the menu where you can choose one of recovery buttons Reset, Refresh, Restore.

Press both keys - WindowsLogo+R, type msconfig and click OK. The windows called System Configuration is opened, click Boot, select a check box called Safe boot, click Apply - OK - Restart. The computer shall boot in a safe mode. Don't forget after a Windows 8 recovery operation uncheck a check box, otherwise a computer loads in safe mode again.

When PC is booting and a recovery partition is on you can use to refresh or reset.
